Visitors:
8 states visiting the overlook with MN being the most distant.
Weather:
Clear with a blanket of fog over the western valley that burned off by
noon. Scatterd clouds with thunderstorms the west and a cell over Peaks of
Otter by close of the watch. Temps started at 70 F and rose into the mid
80s. Light to no wind.
Raptor Observations:
ABE at 10:23 climbing out of the valley below the watch just above the
ridge to the west.
ABE at1:30 high to the West
Osprey low over the Knob
Non-raptor Observations:
Very quiet (other than holiday traffic). Suffered our first injury of the
season as Dillard was stung by a yellow jacket on the side of his head just
after noon. The whereabouts of the yellow jacket is unknown at this time.
This is a continuing investigation....
