A van load of kids from FL did a section hike on the AT starting at the
Knob. Light traffic on the Parkway.
Weather:
Low clouds over the Knob throughout the day. Easterly breeze at 6 to 10
mph. Low visibility early on both sides improving to a 5 by mid afternoon.
Temps in the mid 70�s.
Raptor Observations:
Light activity on both sides with a nice variety. Surprisingly no eagles
spotted today.
Non-raptor Observations:
I�m sure the early morning weather kept folks at home today. It was awful
early on the west side and the knats were brutal! Breeze on the east side
along with better visibility made the morning more enjoyable.
A RT did some crazy aerobatics over the Knob before moving south early in
the afternoon. 136 Blue Jays in the first hour.
