Visitors:
Kristine was by to spot a few. Nice couple from England and one from
Illinois in a vette. 6 hikers were by, one took off his shoes to air his
feet. Good that James returned and made some nice spots for us. Thankful
that Bill James does not go by "William"; having James Williams and William
James would almost be like a pair of zone tailed Hawks.
Weather:
West to Northwest winds all day at 5 and 5 visibility. Temps were brisk
initially (50) and only moderated mid-afternoon (58). Clouds coverage
ranged from 60 to 30%.
Raptor Observations:
Birds were on the West side or overhead all day and moving with great
alacrity. ABE at 12:38; IBE at 1:25 and 3:05.
Non-raptor Observations:
6 Ravens cavorting throughout the day. Vultures not very active today nor
small birds. 16 Monarchs monitored by James. WhistlePig near the lower
sign.
Predictions:
Not quite as windy as today.
