Weather:
Windspeed varied and was light to moderate for much of the day, but
stronger in the early morning and late afternoon. Winds had a westerly
component. Skies were overcast in the morning and partly cloudy in the
afternoon. Temperatures were in the sixties.
Raptor Observations:
We had a nice flight of small falcons today, and a decent accipiter
movement. It was nice to see some Ospreys and harriers moving as well. Some
birds were quite distant on the east side, but many were also low and close
over the platform.
Non-raptor Observations:
Many Blue Jays were on the move, with 516 counted. Monarchs are finally
picking up; we counted 174 of them. Double-crested Cormorants seemed to be
migrating to some extent, and we saw a few large flocks, with 196 in total.

1 Purple Finch
