Visitors:
Not many traveling on the parkway today and fewer stopping by. Met a nice
couple from Conn. relocating to Denver interested in the migration. Also
met a nice young hiker going South happily fed by Joyce....
Weather:
Good easterly winds, 2-3, until 1 with a shift to var. Cool temps varying
one degree from 10 and humidity decreasing and then rebounding; cloud cover
at 50% early and 100% late.
Raptor Observations:
Not much moving, although a Red-tailed sat in a pine tree for about 45
minutes and then relocated to another pine tree down the ridge a bit.
Never a good sign. An directionally challenged adult bald eagle passed
overhead and then went North at 1:34.
Non-raptor Observations:
Big day for Ravens with 15 spotted in the air at the same time - perhaps
related to the deceased deer but he side of the road.
Predictions:
Will there be another day.........
