Tuesday morning I saw this hawk:

(first four photos).
I'm thinking it is a young Red-shouldered but I'm not sure. It was breaking off
small pieces of branch then fly off only to return to repeat the process. Would
an immature help with nest building? Or am I way off base. Thank you in
