I was talking on the phone when all the blue jays suddenly squawked, and
fled all the feeders. A gray bird hit the ground about fifty yards away, a
hawk of some sort. I scampered to the camera with a quick comment to the
caller that I would talk shortly (headsets are nice). As the camera was
focusing in on the hawk that was sitting on the ground, wings spread
awkwardly like a teepee, the hawk lifted off. A burst of five photos was
all I got, but we can easily see a blue jay in the talons, looking up at the
hawk and clearly telling him something like, "My brother is bigger!" or
"Don't eat me-Mama says I'm spoiled!" or..

The folder is Hawk, Sharp-shinned, though I really do not know if it is a
sharpie or coopers. We have had a sharpie in the yard from time-to-time, so
that is my guess. If someone has an opinion you are welcome to let me know.
Sorry the photos aren't closer/clearer.
