Every evening lately I've been hearing a bird singing what sounds like "Wheek
wheek wheek WEE-beek!" over and over. It is not loud, but it does carry. The
last phrase is squeaky. It’s coming from a boggy creek with willows and
alders. There have been some Acadian Flycatchers and Great Crested Flycatchers
in that area this year, and last year there were Willow Flycatchers there as
well. I wasn’t able to see the bird, which was moving, and it was getting
dark. Any suggestions would be welcome.
