On the way home at Pipeline Herons, we also saw the city Peregrines:
Now that it’s light an hour later, we stopped at the Pipeline in town. I
counted 27 herons, two were in canal near us. Then about 6:10 p.m. we heard
the squawks, looked up over floodwall and saw the two Peregrine Falcons spar
and fly west. We moved up the parking lot and saw one fly between buildings.
Then I spotted movement on the W of McGuire Woods letters on building. It
was on the mid peak of the W and was tearing apart and eating its dinner !
