Ive had great success this winter with Brown Creepers. Maybe same two birds
but once i saw four. They liked Peanut Butter mix or Suet stuffed in cracks
of tree . Also use the suet cage but it has to be where they can reach it
without leaving the tree and out of the plastic container it comes in!! Ive
been calling them manic of sorts. Like Insane asylums . They have a
repetitive behavior. They must crawls along tree trunks continuosly. I
think theyve enjoyed the pit stops to the tree. Hope they bring the kids by
!! Other than B Creeper at suet also are Pine Warbler, Downy wp, Redbellied
wp, Redbreasted nh, Brownheaded nh now 3 ,Carolina wren, Chickadee,
Titmouse, Grackles, Squirrels and whatever is gobbleing it up at night!!
About one cake a day !!
Other birds, dozen American Goldfinch, Cardinals, Whitethroat sp. Chipping
sp, Few Junco, Mourning dove, Brownheaded cowbird, Redwinged blackbird,
Trying to sift out a Rusty Blackbird but none so far.
Saw the Northern Gannets and Bartailed Godwit last week at Chincoteague
