Today was opening day of bluebird nest box season and we weren't
disappointed. Bluebirds and Tree Swallows were checking out boxes at
several locations. Nothing really unusual, but phoebes and Pied-billed
Grebes had a nice presence. The highlight may have been a Northern Harrier
pointed out by Ben Jesup as it circled over the marsh at a good altitude.
