I went to Huntley Meadows this morning primarily to do some photography. At
the intersection of Cedar and Heron Trails I saw 6 woodpecker species
without moving, including Red-headed and YB Sapsucker. I later added
Pileated to make it a 7 WP morning. It was also a good morning for sparrows
(8 species), as I found my FOS American Tree Sparrow perched right under the
observation tower, along with a Field Sparrow. There was a huge flock of
Common Grackles, starting in the parking lot and eventually going deeper in
the woods. I could not find a single Rusty BB, however. While my species
count was not great, the woodpeckers and Tree Sparrow made up for it.
Best photo of the Tree Sparrow can be seen at

shots of others on that page, including a black squirrel, a nice buck, a
photogenic Swamp Sparrow or 2, et. al.
