VA BIRDers,
A wonderful morning with blue skies and little wind. The air was crisp -
about 40F at the start and ending at 50+F after 11am. And sounds easily
carried through the woods with few leaves left to scatter the calls of
animals. I checked all 3 meadows (the woodcock meadow was mostly
waterlogged) plus in-between. No significant highlights although a few of
the uncommon late November species (for Huntley Meadows) were noted. 40
species in all, the list is below for those who follow the birds there as
well as for the record keepers.
