Hola,
This morning we went to Huntley Meadows, where we did
not locate Paul DeAnna's Cackling Goose from
yesterday. We did see at least 3 Northern Pintails,
an Eastern Phoebe, and hear a Red-breasted Nuthatch
while we were there.
After lunch we went to Fort C. F. Smith Park in
northern Arlington. One of the feeders was totally
empty while the thistle feeder was only 1/4 full.
Needless to say, we saw neither Red-breasted Nuthatch
nor Pine Siskin. We did see a Merlin zoom over our
heads, an immature Red-tailed Hawk flying low over the
park, and a juvenile Cooper's Hawk near the mansion.
