I went to the Hardware River Wildlife Management Area Of The James River this
afternoon to hopefully photograph some new arrivals to the area.
I did not see much because I got there too late in the day. But I did see
several Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, three White-throated Sparrows, three
Yellow-throated Warblers, and two Red-eyed Vireos plus a sandpiper looking
wader catching dinner in a mud puddle. This is the first time I have ever seen
a sandpiper this far inland so I assumed it is a Upland Sandpiper but I am not
sure.
