I would say it's a Solitary Sandpiper.

I went to the Hardware River Wildlife Management Area Of The James River
this afternoon to hopefully photograph some new arrivals to the area.
I did not see much because I got there too late in the day. But I did see
several Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, three White-throated Sparrows, three
Yellow-throated Warblers, and two Red-eyed Vireos plus a sandpiper looking
wader catching dinner in a mud puddle. This is the first time I have ever
seen a sandpiper this far inland so I assumed it is a Upland Sandpiper but
I am not sure.

Please help me identify this bird.
