Did the triple crown today. Was in Springfield between 4-5:30 for
Mississippi kites. Watched the perched juvenile get fed cicadas by the
adults and lots of adult flying around and soaring.
Moved on to the Luther Jackson Middle school ( Gallows rd. and RT. 50) at
7:30-till 8:30, for the Chimney swifts. There were a LOT of birds there this
evening. Probaly at least 2,000 or more. Really neat to watch.
Ended up (9:00 -9:30) at Tysons for the nighthawks. Really good show
tonight. Lots of birds low over the lights.
Great birding all around.
