Weather:
Light winds were from the southwest this morning, switching over to become
more southeasterly in the late morning and afternoon. Skies were partly to
mostly cloudy, with temperatures in the seventies to low eighties.
Raptor Observations:
It was a slow day, but with some nice views of Merlins.
Non-raptor Observations:
We certainly had some interesting sightings this morning. Ned spotted a
Parasitic Jaeger flying right over the beach! This species is typically
seen much further out over the bay. Also, a Black Tern flew over the
platform this morning. Purple Martins and Barn Swallows continued to be on
the move throughout the day. Other highlights included:
1 Chestnut-sided Warbler
1 Dickcissel
1 Eastern Wood-Pewee
1 Hairy Woodpecker
1 Prairie Warbler
