Observation start time: 06:00:00
Observation end   time: 17:00:00
Total observation time: 11 hours

Official Counter:        Anna Stunkel

Observers:        Julia Magill

Weather:
Light winds were mostly from the southeast, with partly cloudy skies
becoming a blue abyss in the afternoon. Temperatures were in the seventies
to low eighties.

Raptor Observations:
Not a whole lot of movement today. The Osprey, Bald Eagle, and peregrine
flights were decent, however.

Non-raptor Observations:
A Worm-eating Warbler landed in the deodar cedar, providing excellent views
this morning, and a beautiful Yellow-throated Vireo landed in the shrubbery
near the platform (a.k.a. the "Musk Ox" bush, due to its shape). The latter
bird was promptly chased off by a Chipping Sparrow, but it was still nice
to see it so closeby. One Red-breasted Nuthatch was heard calling. Three
Monarchs flew by.
