Saturday, May 26, Joe Freeman and I found two Least Flycatchers near where the
Appalachian Trail crosses Hog Camp Gap. They were near the spot where two were
seen repeatedly in 2009.
On May 27, Sandra and I were hiking the AT from Salt Log Gap to Wolf Rocks and
discovered a group of about 6 Least Flycatchers near Greasy Spring Rd.
These sightings and the sighting by Thelma and John Dalmas near the top of
Warbler/Radar Rd in Bedford County, which has been observed over several weeks,
would seem to indicate an unusual trend in this area.
