I was on call today, so couldn't get outside. I live in Annandale, Virginia
aling Holmes Run Park. There is a brushy area in the back yard adjacent to a
wooded area before the stream. A flock of over a dozen White-throated Sparrows
came in about 10:00AM an started foraging. The flock was accompanied by a
Lincoln's Sparrow (first ever on my property), as well as a Ruby-crowned
Kinglet, 3 Common Yellowthroats, a Nashville, and a Magnolia. Nice little
event if you have to be at home on a holiday.
