Several people have asked me the location of the Violet-green Swallow.
You can find a map here, from Crozet:

This is a public space. In BirdsEye (iphone app) it's an eBird hotspot
called Old Trail Golf Course. The pond is too new to show up on google maps
so in the attached map I drew it in with photoshop (approximation).
Park along the road just before passing through the fence. Walk up over
the grassy knoll. At the top you'll see the pond clearly. The bird was
flying over the pond and over the grassy knoll on the north side of the pond.
Once it perched in one of the three deciduous trees (the middle one) along the
north shore of the pond.
