It was a cool, windy, rainy day surveying the marshes at New Point Comfort
in Mathews. Most of the bird activity was offshore. There was a nice
movement of Common and Red-throated Loons with 43 and 49, respectively,
observed. Good numbers of Brown Pelicans and Northern Gannets were feasting
on
schools of fish close to shore. Sea ducks were hard to find today.
