highlight being a Prairie Warbler. Conditions were very wet. I was the only

When I got home in Vienna, another group of migrants in the yard greeted me
with Red-eyed ireo, Common Yellowthroat, American Redstart, Northern
Parula, and Magnolia Warbler (all also seen at Waples Mill); as well as a
Scarlet Tanager (not seen at Waples Mill).
Later, I went to Monticello Park in Alexandria in hopes of refinding the
Connecticut Warbler reported there earlier on the VARareBirdAlert GroupMe.
I did not refind it, though a couple said they saw it while I was there. I
did find Veery, Swainson's Thrush, Wood Thrush, and 5 warbler species
including a pair of Canada Warbler, and 2+ Ovenbird. Thank you to the few
other birders that were present for masking up and physically distancing.

Seemed like a good fallout day to see warblers and other migrants in our
region. The DC RBA GroupMe was also reporting many migrants at Rock Creek
Park and the National Arboretum.
