I ventured out late in the morning today , I wasn't expecting to find much due
to the south winds . I birded Northside Park in Norfolk today and found small
flocks of birds all over the park. American Redstarts , Black & White Warblers
and Parula's were the most common. Other migrants included 2 Magnolia Warbler ,
1 Yellow Warbler , 2 Black Th. Blue Warbler , 7 Common Yellowthroat , 1
Northern Waterthrush , 1 Red Eyed Vireo , 1 White Eyed Vireo , 2 Ruby Cr.
Kinglet and 1 Ovenbird
At Lynnhaven Inlet there were a number of Sandwich Terns , Forsters Terns and
Royal Terns sitting on the flat. The light was really bad and the distant birds
I couldn't really make positive id's. I did count 34 Sandwich , 11 Forsters and
over 100 Royal Terns . I ran into Arun Bowes he saw 1 Imm. White Ibis on flats .
Cheers
Andrew
