Hello all
Tonight is the first night that I noticed Common Nighthawks heading South . I
went out around 7 pm & just finished up a little after 8 pm . With all of the
other reports of Nighthawks around in Virginia , I have been going out nightly
with no luck . Well tonight there must of been a large push of the birds . Fore
in the hour & 10 mins. I was watching I counted 434 birds with the last 25
flying in front of the full moon . How neat is that . Also there were about
200+ Chimney Swifts flying around my house. As it got darker most flew into the
direction of the chimney at Stuart Hall where they roost . Another 150 + flew
south with the Nighthawks .
