I got a note mid day from a friend in King and Queen about some bald
eagle sin her area. She said when she went to church this morning,
there were 3 bald eagles and bunches of vultures feeding on a deer on
the side of the road near her house. On the way home this afternoon,
they were still there and she thought there were 5. I headed down there
around 3. It was off of route 609, I am not sure the name of the area.
As I rounded the corner, it was like I was in heaven...there were eagles
everywhere. I counted at least a dozen in two different trees.
Unfortunately, they were not very fan friendly or receptive to having
their pictures taken. It looked like most of them were young adults, I
think I only counted 3 juveniles. Some of them sat longer than others,
so I was able to get a few decent pictures.
