STILL TWO SPOTS LEFT!  COULD BE YOU!

In honor of International Migratory Bird Day, Saturday, May 8th, Rich Rieger and Kurt Gaskill will lead a "Big Day" (extreme birding) trip for the Northern Va Bird Club. If you've ever thought about doing a Big Day, this will be a great opportunity to see 100+ species in northern Va.

We will start early - very early - gathering at the Huntley Meadow parking lot circa 3:45a for a 4a departure time. Our trip will take us to Prince William Forest Park for Whip-poor-wills, maybe a Chuck's as well and owls. Over to Nokesville for morning chorus -target species - Woodcock, Grasshopper Sparrow and rails. Back to "The Point" for Warbler Wake Up and then creative movement to fill in any blanks. We'll wind up the day back at Huntley Meadows - "Doing Dusk" and hope for Bitterns.

Trip is limited to six people (4 per car) w. preference given to NVBC members. Please call or email Rich to reserve your spot.
