For those that may be interested, The Northern VA Bird Club will host an
expedition into the far reaches of Huntley Meadows Park (Fairfax Co) on Sunday,
March 18, in search of the oft sought after American Woodcock. Despite
controlled burns of their preferred meadow, Woodcocks have been reported!
Please join us at the rear entrance of the park - South Kings Hwy and
Telegraph Rd. - by 6pm Sunday nite. We will hike in to the meadow and try to be
in
place by 6:30. Looks like it will be a cool day w. temps in the upper 40's, so
dress warm. If you need more info, you can call me at 703-768-1641. My cell
