Eleven birders participated in the morning walk at Sky Meadows Park and
enjoyed a nearly perfect fall day for a walk. We went through the walnut
grove, and on over the hill and down to the silos and farm buildings near
the highway. We had great looks at Red-headed woodpeckers including at
least 3 immatures with brown heads. There were numerous meadowlarks and
bluebirds, but otherwise the variety was a bit disappointing. The complete
