Three members of the No. Va. bird club showed up this morning (10/10) for a
beautiful morning of birding at Leesylvania SP. Unfortunately the birding
was a little slow, but the great weather made up for it. Highlights were
Bald Eagle, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, both Kinglets, Nashville Warblers,
Yellow-rumped Warblers, Black-throated Green Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, and
Baltimore Oriole. Sparrows were strangely absent, as were Goldfinches.
There were a lot of gulls on the river, but mostly far out in the heat haze.
No Terns were observed.
