[Va-bird] Neighborhood swamp in Chester, VA, Sun, Aug 24

I visited the little swamp in my neighborhood for about an hour tonight.
Birding was pretty slow.the vegetation has grown up so much and the water
receded because of lack of rain, that most of it looked like a little
meadow.  There was a small pool of deeper water just immediately surrounding
the beaver lodge, but otherwise it was very shallow or dried up.

The TUNDRA SWAN I reported earlier this summer near the end of June is still
present!  The bird must have decided to stay the entire summer since missing
the migration.  I didn't see any shorebirds, although there were some nice
