Saturday morning we had a FIELD SPARROW with the other sparrows ion the back of
the house. John noticed a sparrow that looked different. It's about 5 years
since we had a new yard bird. It joined the Towhee, that has been around all
winter, there were a pair until the really cold weather when the female
disappeared, song, white-throated and house sparrows, Carolina chickadees,
tufted titmouse, Carolina wrens, mourning doves, bluejay, house finches, downy,
hairy, and red-bellied woodpeckers, flicker, he loves the suet. Haven't seen
the pair of pileated woodpeckers since they visited on 28 Dec. 06. John got
good photos of them.
