While walking the river trail in Oronoco Bay Park at 7 am, I spotted the
group of American Coots that have been hanging out here for a while now. In
the middle of this raft, there was a Canvasback, seemingly right at home
despite clearly being the odd fellow. I watched the Canvasback and Coots
interacting for over 30 minutes, with neither species showing any animosity
toward the other.
