Virginia birders,
only one week remains until the Newport News Park BioBlitz. The
Hampton Roads Bird Club and Virginia Herpatological Society are
co-sponsoring the event. We are still looking for birders to survey the
park on the afternoon of Saturday May 20 and the morning of Sunday May
21. I would like to get at least 10 more people on the bird teams to
make sure we have thorough coverage over the park, campgrounds area,
Grafton Ponds and Hardwoods Mill areas. More information can be found at

This is a great time to be out in one of our best birding areas and
teams will be going to areas that are under-birded.
