Our houseguests and we enjoyed the lone nighthawk catching moths over the
office building lights at Tysons (intersection of Boone and Gallows) at 9:15
last night. It disappeared in the clouds and would reappear over the lights
several times.

Hi All,
About 7:45 this evening I counted nine nighthawks winging their way southward. They were silhouetted against the sunset with towering, rumbling thunderheads just to the north. The birds were so far away that without 12 X binoculars I don't think I would have picked them out.
