[Va-bird] Nine warbler specie morning, Runnymede Park, Herndon, VA

Hello all,

We had a wonderful walk in Herndon's Runnymede Park (Fairfax County) and the immediate area this morning. It was a nine warbler morning, and we observed a young Red-shouldered Hawk at the nest. The walk was sponsored by the Herndon Department of Parks and Recreation. The list follows:

Great Blue Heron (flying overhead)
Red-shouldered Hawk--a parent and one young (couldn't tell if there is more than one young one in the nest).
Chimney Swift
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker

Hairy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker--H
Pilieated Woodpecker--H
Eastern Wood-Peewee--H
Eastern Phoebe

Great Crested Flycatcher
Red-eyed Vireo--all thru the park.
Blue Jay
American Crow
Tree Swallow

Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
White-breasted Nuthatch
Carolina Wren--H
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

Eastern Bluebird
American Robin
Gray Catbird
European Starling
Cedar Waxwing--at least 30

Tennessee Warbler
Northern Parula--male and female, female appeared to be gathering nesting material.
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler--male and female.

Pine Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
American Redstart--male and female.
Common Yellowthroat
Scarlet Tanager--H

Chipping Sparrow
Northern Cardinal
