Early this afternoon, at my house on 5134 Cub Creek Road, I was out on the back
deck when a Northern Goshawk flew close overhead. It was very clearly
Accipiter-like though much larger with broad-wings tapering toward the tips, a
long, broad tail much longer than buteos, and a large head. I watched it for
nearly half a minute, before it glided out of view.
