The Northern Virginia Bird Club will hold its Nov. meeting tomorrow, the
20th at the Church of the Covenant on Military Road in N. Arlington .
Directions and times are in the Siskin and can be found on the club web page
by clicking on the Siskin. Diane Marten and I will speak about our birding
trip to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. We have a pretty good show lined up with
some extra bird pictures by one of our guides, Machiel Valkenburg. We will
also have some regional food for tasting, including Plov, the national dish
of both countries. Any other contributions of food or drink are always
gratefully accepted. Early bird refreshments start at 7:30 and the meeting
proper starts at 8:00. As usual there will be door prizes and club pins
