Hi VA-Birders,
We spent three hours this morning at Occoneechee State Park near
Clarksville. I don't see many reports about this park but it's a gem. Great
birds can be found along the road to the visitor's center. There are
several parking areas to pull into so it's quite safe - and there's not a
lot of traffic anyway. We had 12 species of warbler, both tanagers, and
several Orchard Orioles, with great looks at most of these species..
