I just wanted to let everyone know that the banding station at Occoquan Bay
NWR is closed for the year. We will reopen the last week in March, 2009. I
will post the final results when I have them. It looks as though we have
had another record breaking year in spite of the late migration season -
partly due to luck with the weather and also because we were open every
Friday instead of alternate Fridays. We lost very few banding hours to
rain, even though there was plenty of it and plenty of mud in our net lanes.
