Hey folks, for at least 2 weeks I have been observing a Gray Catbird
perching in several spots in our back yard and engaging in very frequent
wing fluttering. Now I associate wing fluttering by an adult with courtship
behavior, typically a female who is then ritually fed by a male. But I
haven't seen another bird interact with this one and the behavior seems to
be going on way too long. It definitely is not a youngster begging for
food. Any thoughts on what's going on? It's almost as if it has a
