While looking out back at our first Pine Siskin, we had a very odd colored
Common Raven fly through. The back in flight appeared to be all grayish
brown instead of black. Later when we hiked the Cub Run Stream Valley
trail, we re-located this bird. He had a black bill, a brownish-black head
and a grayish brown body, almost the color of coffee with milk. The bird
was calling and a second bird did answer it.
On the way home, we saw another pair of Common Ravens over the intersection
of Stone Rd and Rt. 29.
