Hello all,
Yesterday, Sherri Wright and I had a wonderful walk along the Dan River on the
Riverwalk Trail. We heard the Tree Swallows as soon as we got out of the cars!
One Osprey was sitting on the nest next to the power plant and the other was
sitting in a tree nearby. We are concerned that the coal ash spill could
affect the health of the fish in the river and thereby the Ospreys. The Rusty
Blackbirds continue to be found in the swampy area below the Danville Braves
field.
