Va birders,

I was wondering if there might be five other people interested in going looking for sea birds, on either 8/21 or 8/28?

A Red-billed Tropicbird was up in Maine a few weeks ago, and Brian Patteson found one in NC recently, so it's a possibility, and summer is the best time for White-tailed Tropicbird. Mike Boatwright's trip last August 15 had Wilson's and Leaches Storm-petrel, Greater, Cory's, and Audubon's Shearwater, Sooty and Bridled Tern, and Red Phalarope.

Cost would be around $180 if six people go, assuming one of the less expensive boats is available (which is likely).

Please get in touch off line if you're interested.

Thanks,

John Fox
