There was a PHILADELPHIA VIREO on Horseshoe Mtn in Nelson County, south of
Nellysford today (9/9/10).
It was among a group of RED-EYED VIREOS (although it seemed to be keeping some
distance from the 3 Red-Eyeds), TITMOUSE and various warblers, including a
CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER. Also SCARLET TANAGER, DOWNY and RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER,
E. WOOD PEE-WEE, and a EASTERN PHOEBE.
A medium-sized falcon of some sort was also seen heading south, but I could not
make a good ID on it.
