I spoke too soon. They're back! Our treetops are once more a-twitter, and
this morning there were something like 35 pine siskins on our deck and at our
feeder. Perhaps this is our little friends returning, or perhaps we are now
hosting a flock that wintered to the south and is stopping by on the way north.
It looks like that 10 pounds of nyger seed we bought last week will go fairly
quickly after all.
