I have had my backyard flock of Pine Siskins grow to over 40. I have had
quite a few all winter. They do a great job of emptying the thistles
feeders.
The family and I really enjoyed a late afternoon walk at Bull Run Regional
Park, Fairfax Co. The Bluebells are just about at peak, and nicely
complemented the Eastern Bluebirds, Blue-gray Gnat-catchers and Blue Jays.
The path was rather muddy, so be prepared.
Tonight walking the dog, a pair of Thrashers were chasing each other thru
the park.
Happy Birding,
Phil
