Paula Sullivan and I found a number of Pine Warblers (both singing males and
non-singing females) in the pine trees along the left side of the entrance road
at Fort Ward Park in Alexandria this morning.
( I estimate there were 4 to 6 birds.) They were singing loudly, reasonably
easy to see, and to try to photograph.
We also found Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Juncos, Robins, Jays,
etc. Earlier, I also found one Red-breasted Nuthatch, in the same area.
We had one flyover Sharp-shinned Hawk and one flyover Coopers hawk.
