There was a single Piping Plover on the beach on the west side of Craney
Island in Portsmouth, Va. this morning. There was virtually no water in
either the south impoundment or the middle impoundment. The north
impoundment was temporarily unreachable due to repairs being made on the
outer road. Lots of Ruddy Ducks still hanging out in the James River.
Orchard Oriole, Eastern Kingbird, and Prairie Warbler all seen in the
trees near the office.
